ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College volleyball team lost a MIAC match at 22nd-ranked St. Thomas, 25-11, 25-12, 25-7 Friday night in Schoenecker Arena. The Scots are now 4-18 overall and 0-8 in the conference, while the Tommies (24-4) remain unbeaten in the MIAC at 8-0.
Juniors
Sofia Parmelee (Tenafly, N.J./Tenafly) and
Kendall Ford (Seattle, Wash./The Northwest School), and first year
Zoe Lowe (Longmont, Colo./Longmont) each had four kills to lead Macalester. Sophomore setter
Claire Loomans (Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest) had nine assists, while first year defensive specialist
Katrina Schoen (Grafton, Wis./Cedarburg) registered 13 digs. Madie Kroehler paced the Tommies with 12 kills and 11 digs.
Macalester hosts St. Olaf on Saturday, Oct. 26 in the final home game of the 2019 season. The MIAC match starts at 4:00 p.m. in the Leonard Center.
