MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- The No. 12-ranked Augsburg University volleyball team dropped a 3-1 set decision to the No. 22-ranked University of St. Thomas on Saturday afternoon at Si Melby Hall, claiming the No. 4-seed in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference postseason playoffs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg's nine-match win streak was broken by a strong St. Thomas effort, with the Tommies out-hitting the Auggies .244 to .156 in the match.

Corrina Evans (JR, Blaine, Minn./Blaine HS) led the Auggies with 15 kills, hitting .389 with only one error on 36 attempts. Evans added five block assists, three digs and two service aces.
• With her five block assists, Evans became Augsburg's new career record-holder for career blocks with 333 (47 solo, school-record 286 block assists), surpassing the old record of 329, set by Colleen (Ourada) Enrico '14. Just a junior,
Evans ranks second among MIAC players with a 1.24 blocks per-set average.

Jade Boysen (SO, Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS) recorded 11 kills, hitting at a .360 clip, while also earning five digs and four block assists.
Jade Fullerton (SO, Arden Hills, Minn./Mounds View HS) had seven kills, two block assists and a dig.
• Finishing with five kills each were
Maddie Nierengarten (JR, Foley, Minn./Princeton HS) and
Katie O'Rourke (FY, New Brighton, Minn./Irondale HS). Nierengarten added nine digs, two block assists and a service ace, while O'Rourke collected 10 digs, two block assists and an ace.

Jaelin Rios (SR, Champlin Park, Minn./Totino-Grace HS) finished with team-best 18 digs.

Izzy Barr (SO, River Falls, Wis./River Falls HS) earned her 12th assist-dig double-double of the year, with 25 assists and 10 digs.
Lexie Lang (SO, Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS) had 16 assists, eight digs, two kills and a service ace.
FOR THE FOES
• Kate Achenbach led St. Thomas with 20 kills, hitting at an impressive .600 clip. Madie Kroehler collected 13 kills for the Tommies.
• Grace Anetipa had match-best 45 assists. Four Tommies finished with double-digit digs, Kroehler leading with 17.
