After battling back and forth throughout a scoreless first half, Rhode Island College (10-3-1, 3-1-1 LEC) got on the board when junior defenseman Elimane Seye (Providence, RI) headed in a free kick from sophomore midfielder Dennis Vazquez (Providence, RI) at the 42:04 mark. |

The Anchormen struck less than two minutes later when junior forward Komla Dogbey (Providence, RI) took advantage of a one-on-one opportunity after a breakaway and scored his team-best 10th goal of the season in the 44th minute for the 2-0 lead. RIC took the two goal advantage heading into halftime with both teams managing seven shots for the stanza. |

Keene State (8-5-1, 3-2-0 LEC) chipped away at the lead in the 58th minute as sophomore forward Samuel Binogono (Manchester, NH) took a pass from junior midfielder Riley Steele (Sutton, MA) and knocked in a shot that hit off the right post and into the net to make the score 2-1. The host Owls had several shots down the stretch, outshooting RIC by an 8-1 margin in the second half, but couldn't capitalize as the Anchormen held on for the important league victory. |
