Bison fall to Albertus Magnus, 3-2

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Nichols College men's soccer team fell 3-2 to Albertus Magnus in non-conference action Saturday afternoon at Celentano Field.
 
The Falcons scored a pair of goals in the first 16 minutes of the game and held onto the lead for the duration of the game. Freshman Salah Oumorou (West Haven, Conn.) scored all three goals for Albertus Magnus in his first-collegiate game.
 
Senior Paul Sickinger (Tyngsboro, Mass.) scored the first goal for the Bison on an assist from graduate student Ryan Banker (Ashaway, R.I.) while junior Gregory Giglio (Deer Park, N.Y.) converted on a penalty kick in the 80th minute to cap the scoring.
 
The Bison outshot the Falcons 21-13 for the game – including 11-6 in shots on goal.
 
Junior Patrick Porpora (Westminster, Mass.) made three saves in the loss while junior Joe Russo (North Haven, Conn.) stopped seven shots in the win.
