The men's soccer team lost a highly competitive 4-3 contest to the Saxons of Alfred University at the Bryan Karl Tournament on Sunday in Alfred, New York.
The visiting Bearcats started strong jumping out to a 2-0 lead on goals by Shane Rafferty (3:51) and Ricardo Llanos (27:01), but the Saxons scored the next three goals in a span of 10 minutes starting in the 32nd minute to storm back to lead 3-2.
Cormac Foley tied at the 48:27 mark of an assist by Seneca Jaedon.
The two teams stayed scoreless over the next 28 minutes, until the Saxons scored what stood as the match-winner at 76:48, on a goal by Charles Hawkins.
The Bearcats finished with 10 shot attempts with Llanos and Munoz each leading with two shots.
Justin Easton of the Saxons from the Empire 8 Conference finished with a hat-trick.
