Nicholas Nets Career-High, BW Women's Volleyball Advances to OAC Semi's

TIFFIN, Ohio - After falling behind one set, the fifth-seeded Baldwin Wallace University women's volleyball team battled back to defeat fourth-seeded Heidelberg University 3-1, in the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament Quarterfinals, inside Seiberling Gymnasium.

BW (23-5, 6-4 OAC) will play one-seeded Ohio Northern University on Thursday November 7 at 7 p.m.

The offense was led by junior Academic All-OAC middle hitter Kail Nicholas (Milwaukee, Wis./University School of Milwaukee) as she buried a career-high 15 kills, at a .619 hitting percentage. Sophomore All-OAC outside hitter Ivy Earl (Howell, Mich) marked 14 kills at a .344 clip. Junior Academic All-OAC middle hitter Alexis Garrett (Mentor) registered 12 kills at a .444 rate. Junior All-OAC middle hitter Taylor Brown (Maple Heights) sank 11 kills. Junior setter Kathleen Egan (Cleveland/Beaumont) distributed 51 assists.

Junior Academic All-OAC and All-OAC libero Sarah Reinhard (Willoughby/South) led the match with 23 digs. Egan scooped up 15 attacks and sophomore defensive specialist Morgan Martin (Seven Hills/Trinity) tallied 12 and had one service ace and two assists. Junior Academic All-OAC defensive specialist Sydni Colchagoff (Findlay/Liberty-Benton) and Earl each recorded eight.
