The #WhyD3 Show October Edition

To interact with The #WhyD3 Show

We welcome story ideas, thoughts, and questions from everyone. Here is how you can interact with us!

Welcome to the October episode of "The #WhyD3 Show." This is a monthly show dedicated to Division III and its student-athletes. We will talk about what's happening throughout DIII especially off the fields and courts.

This episode features a student-athlete who is not only excelling on the fields, but also in the classroom while using her wealth of experience in third world countries to hopefully make an impact. We introduce you to DeSales University senior and multi-sport star Alyssa Brandt in our Student-Athlete Spotlight.

We also visit the story of Lauren Hill who thanks to her team, three schools, and the NCAA is getting her chance to play One Last Game. WKRC reporter Brad Johanson gives us his story about Lauren, her battle with cancer, and why this game means so much to so many people.
We also premiere two new segments: our Honor Roll and WhyD3 in Three Words.

In the Honor Roll, we spotlight several student-athletes, programs, schools, and others who are making a difference not on the courts and fields, but in their communities. The list includes those from Drew University, Maryville College, Randolph College, Shenandoah University, and St. Catherine University.

In the #WhyD3 in Three Words segment, we feature videos submitted to us from schools around the country showing their student-athletes who say why they love or chose Division III in three words.

Plus we have unique videos from several other schools showing off the non-athletic side of student-athletes everyday.
