Men's Lacrosse Ends Regular Season with Close Loss to Hartford

West Hartford, CT - The Curry men's lacrosse team fell at Hartford on Tuesday by a final score of 6-5. With the loss, the Colonels end the regular season at 4-13, while the Hawks move to 6-7.

After a low scoring first half, the Hawks led at halftime 2-0. But the Colonels would get on the board early in the third on an Albie DiBella goal. After another Hartford goal, Pat Modoono answered a minute later to make it 3-2. Two goals from the Hawks to close the third out made it 5-2 Hartford with one quarter remaining. After a Connor Bryant goal, assisted by Dom Cerone, made it 5-3 early in the fourth, the Hawks pushed the lead back out to three with a goal of their own. But goals from Anthony Lewis and Alex Ripa moved the Colonels within one. But they were unable to find an equalizer, falling 6-5.

Joey Pinto led the team with six ground balls, and was second on the team with three caused turnovers. Kyle Bouley had four caused turnovers. Also helping on the defensive side of things was Sean Young, who had three CTs himself. Evan Falandys made 14 saves in net for the Colonels.

Up next - The Colonels will travel to RWU on Saturday for the first round of the CCC playoffs. The start time for that game is TBD.
