Tatge All-Time Point Leader For Hamline Lacrosse

Records are meant to be broken, right? All-time point leaders get passed at times as well. The latter happened Sunday when Lexus Tatge scored two goals and assisted on two others as the Piper lacrosse team improve to 3-0 with a 21-3 MWLC win at Monmouth. Tatge, a senior from Faribault, Minn. moved past Dana Almquist and became the school's all-time point leader with 102 goals and 69 assists.

Tatge had a lot of company in the goalscoring area. Alycia Monserrate Novotny scored four and assisted on a fifth. Radian Lenz, Kalley Elwell and Sydney Dynneson had three apiece with Ashley Hessler and Maya Hernandez joining Tatge in the two goal department.

After giving up the game's first goal, HU scored thrice for a 3-1 advantage. Monmouth got one back but the Pipers then took charge by scoring the last 10 goals of the half and the die was cast. HU outshot Monmouth, 45-14, for the game and doubled up their hosts in ground balls by a 25-12 margin. At the other end of the field, Molly Dionne and Alyssa Bryan-Jeffries combined for eight saves with Dionne earning the victory.

HU, the defending MWLC champs, travels to Loras on Monday. Game time is 2:00 p.m,.
