Dynneson's Five Goals Paces Pipers to 7-0 on the Season

The script shifted slightly but the results proved to be the same. Thanks in part to Sydney Dynneson's five goals, the Hamline lacrosse team improved to 7-0 on the season and 24-0 all-time at Klas Field with a come-from-behind 12-8 non-conference decision over Carroll (WI) Sunday.

HU scored 10 second half goals to overcome a 4-2 intermission deficit to stay undefeated and continue their best start in the four year history of the sport. Dynneson, a junior, scored five goals -- all in the second session -- and assisted on two others. Lexus Tatge added a pair of goals with Kalley Elwell, Maddie Brown, Radian Lenz, Maya Hernandez and Brayden Maass supplying the rest of the offense.

The Pioneers outshot the Pipers, 10-8,  and held the offense in check for the first 30 minutes. CU upped the edge to 5-2 before the Pipers snapped back to tie the game on Dynneson's second tally eight and a half minutes into the period. Carroll took a 6-5 but Brown evened the score 13 seconds later. Hernandez then gave Hamline the lead (for good, as ti developed) midway in the period. HU then scored six of the last eight goals of the game to eventually pull away. Hamline held a 20-8 edge in total shots in the second half and a 28-18 advantage for the day. Dynneson, who now leads the Pipers in goals with 21, was the top tailgunner with 11.

Molly Dionne, who leads the MWLC with a .629 save percentage, recorded seven saves to earn the victory.

The Pipers head across the border Wednesday, April 3 for a non-conference game at Wis-River Falls (7:00 p.m.). HU, 5-0 in MWLC play, is at Illinois Tech April 6 and Concordia (IL) April 7.
